We are now looking for a Team Lead and Senior Project manager to further strengthen our Natural Language Understanding Team.
About the position
Manage the people in the team including all parts of in a manger role such as:
Strategic Resource Planning & Financing: Collaborate closely with the Research Manager to effectively allocate resources and secure financing, ensuring the team’s goals are met.
Budget Management: Take ownership of the team’s budget, ensuring accuracy, alignment with organizational priorities, and effective financial oversight.
Recruitment & Onboarding: Take part in the recruitment process to attract top talent and ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new team members.
Fostering a Positive Work Environment: Champion workplace well-being, cultivating a collaborative and inclusive culture where team members thrive.
Mentorship & Development: Provide guidance and mentorship to direct reports, empowering them to grow professionally and achieve their full potential.
Performance Monitoring: Regularly evaluate individual and team performance, providing constructive feedback and driving continuous improvement.
Annual Salary Reviews: Conduct annual salary reviews with fairness and transparency, aligning compensation with performance and market standards.
As Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for;
Collaborate with both experts in Generative AI, AI researchers, and partners to align our development with future needs.
Projects are delivered successfully, on time, and within budget
Generate project ideas with our partners
Participate in and lead projects
Develop and maintain administrative processes for the team
Drive knowledge transfer and foster partnerships with our partners which includes, e.g., global tech leaders, public sector, startups, and academia.
Engage in the relevant networks both nationally and internationally

Due to the sensitive nature of our work, this position typically requires Swedish citizenship
And workwise, you have..
At least Masters Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related fields.
Experienced manager whit at least 5+ years in managing development teams and complex tech projects with multiple stakeholders.
Successfully applied for and gained public funding for projects
Participated in some leadership capacity in national and EU projects
Knowledge of foundation models and Generative AI
Understanding of all aspects of gathering and using data for training
Hands-on experience training or fine-tuning foundation models
Extensive network in the Swedish and preferably the European AI eco-system.
Strong project management skills with a results-oriented mindset
Experience with open-source development.
Fluency in Swedish and English is required.

The position is at Lindholmens Science Park -the main host organisation for AI Sweden, starting with a two year contract, with possibilities of extension. Naturally, we’re under a collective agreement (“kollektivavtal”) and offer everything that comes with it in terms of annual leave, pensions, wellness allowance (“friskvårdsbidrag”), and such.
